See Matt Eliott's best moments

As Captain Robert Falcon Scott said, 100 years before his South Pole duel with the Norwegian explorer Amundsen - “The Antarctic is a place where the Gods crumble and the humble rise to surpass them". It took 25 days for Matt Elliott to make 704 km, in cold hard weather conditions. Here are some of the moments of this extraordinary voyage trough the big white of the Antartic.

With Matt struggling with swollen lips and Yoyo not be able to consume food, the team was brought forward to the checkpoint for treatment by the race doctor and a short recovery period before attempting the second leg to the South Pole.

All teams are constantly under medical surveillance and when reaching the Mid-race Checkpoint everyone has to do several medical check-ups and rest for at least 24 hours as this is one of the most extreme races in the world.
